Value, Output, ROI: core in Agile Projects, ROI being Return on Investments.
The client is the entity with ultimate power, as they are the most important stakeholder. They will be the ones to use what you build once it is done and you have left. A partnership has to exist between the team committed to the agile project, and the client who will use the final product.
The team has to believe in the cause, what they will be achieving, this thing of value. All the team resources’ knowledge and brainpower needs to be honed towards this required outcome, to creating something of value.
Other methods of planning, commits fully to the plan – with the plan being the deciding factor, i.e. “Is it in the plan?”. Agile makes us ask the question, “shouldn’t this be in the plan?” and allows for you to make it so.
