Well considering that they are both long winded ways of doing simple maths with a high percentage of *%^&* ups possibly due to a lack of space on paper. Then again, I can try to be neater, and figure out the optimal way to set out tales with space for basic workings!

- The Big M method includes the artificial variable from the outset, the 2 phase splits the equation to allow you to manage the artificial variable to completion in Phase One before introducing the rest of the coefficients and complicating the maths.
