Projects are forces for change.
In order to bring about any change, you could go about utilising a project; if you want to create something new, that didn’t exist before, and / or if you wanted to change something that already exists, but it’s larger than just one thing. This is what I mean, when I say that projects are forces for change.
I think Project Managers might be born. It seems almost instinctual. I say this because I’ve been working on Projects my whole life. Perhaps micro-projects in some cases, but still projects.
I like creating things, fixing things, making things better than I found them. This is why I like projects. It gives you the chance to change things.
The definition of projects in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary says the following:
For the word “project” – the noun, “a specific plan or design…a planned undertaking: such as; a definitely formulated piece of research, a large usually government-supported undertaking, a task or problem engaged in usually by a group of students to supplement and apply classroom studies; a usually public housing development consisting of houses or apartments built and arranged according to a single plan”.
For the word “project” – the verb, “to devise in the mind,to plan, figure, or estimate for the future,to throw or cast forward, to put or set forth; present for consideration; to cause to jut out; to cause (light or shadow) to fall into space or (an image) to fall on a surface; to reproduce (something, such as a point, line, or area) on a surface by motion in a prescribed direction; to display outwardly especially to an audience;to attribute (one’s own ideas, feelings, or characteristics) to other people or to objects.
In English, the word project has many meanings when used as either a noun or a verb. Still, pretty inspiring!
Create delight, wonder, joy, peaceful, serene, quiet, relaxed, tranquil, stable, influential, compelling, irresistible change.
