Movies - My Movie List - IAMNasirene
0 10 mins 1 yr

I am going to build a list of movies I would like to reference. Movies / Shows with Leadership Depicted . The funny thing though is that I think of leaders without including a sex in the description. It is an odd thing for a thought to be based around a sex. I think people are people. It, to me, isn’t a female leader, or a male leader; a leader is a leader. That said, we all need good reference. I’ll be updating this list continually.

Women In Leadership

I am also going to create a list of women in leadership positions for ideas of how this is managed in an ever changing world. I know women in leadership, real women leaders, and I think of myself as I leader as well and I am female. We all need good reference.

Dressing for a role, for a position

I think its easier to be a woman in a work environment, when sexuality is removed from the equation. This is why in the tech fields; there are women who swear lots and use foul language to be thought of as one of the boys, there are some who remove any traces of femininity dressed in striped shirts and jeans with no makeup and short hair. Also some dress that way because that is what they are like, and that might just then be beneficial.

Me? My family has a way of dressing when being in the public eye, especially because we are in the clothing industry – the women are feminine, the men are cultured. I use to dress well for work. I set my hair. I wore a touch of makeup. Problem is, I have very specific features. A touch of mascara, and I’m an animae character. Too much femininity for the IT Crowd. It was a problem for me, looking feminine. For most of my youth I’d been the girl in a sports tracksuit on weekends, probably explains my fitness levels. But for being out and about – working, formal dresses were my go to. My tailored pant suits were very expensive, and required ironed shirts. I never really got the hang of casual, except if the dress is casual. I use to love formal pants and a fitted-t, my idea of smart-casual, as a youngster. Remote working now, so its going to be polar necks, and long sleeve blouses.

Dress in general, I think, plays a part in one’s mind-set. Ones own mindset. Maybe the mindset of others, it depends. At after-school tuition (I went for both maths and physics), I was the only one of my class-mates, almost 50 students per lesson, who didn’t change into civies. I was there to study. It would take time to dress again, and time was limited, I preferred having a meal after school vs dressing up for tuition… And my friends did peacock. They put effort into looking nice. I am older now. If I could, I’d fall back on tracksuits. Love comfort.
